A party of 6 of us went to the Thai Eatdustry last Saturday night. The same party of six but with one additional person (7 in all) also went there five weeks ago. This speaks volumes for the Thai Eatdustry in that we all went back there again so soon.Like most Asian restaurants, you would'nt 'write home' about the decor! I rang and ordered a takeaway and was advised that there would be approximately an hour wait, not a problem as I wasn't in a hurry but when I got there to pick up my meal which came to $17.50 I pulled out my debit card and was told "we don't take card payments for purchases under $20" You have got to be kidding! I told her I had no cash which is not uncommon these days and was told it would cost $1.00 to use my card!! This is absolutely disgraceful, it doesn't cost anywhere near that much to process a transaction and I consider that a money grabbing rip off!! Meals are really nice. Food quality excellent. Menu range is reasonable without being huge. Value for money is great with realistic pricing and a good amount of yummy food provided. We've eaten their food as takeaway as well as eat in. Their eat in section is basic, and limited, however as being BYO it allows you to bring in the wine/beer etc that you want; again a money saver that way.Overall, I think these guys do a good job and having a fresh Thai eatery in suburban Howrah is certainly a welcome thing
Booked for a mid week meal with friends. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was a cold night and the restaurant was warm, even though the was plenty of take away activity. We all enjoyed our meals. The duck was tender with a very tasty sauce. The pork and ginger was tasty and you could taste the ginger, but it was not overwhelming. We went in for take-away on a Saturday night. Happy with how quickly our order of two mains and some spring rolls was prepared. The food was tasty and rice is included with mains (except for noodle dishes and rice dishes, of course). The best part is, the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be going back and trying more of their dishes.
Reasonable prices, nice and small setting, the food is AAAAWESOME! Am definitely going to start getting take-away from there, so happy to have a place like this so near my house, and I actually enjoy that they don't do dessert as it means I cant be tempted - the mains is plenty filling enough!
We dined here as a table of 10 for 3 birthdays and the food was fantastic. All meals came out together and better than we ever thought. Great flavour taste and price. I would say that this is possibly Hobarts best Thai.

the food is great, the staff efficient and polite, atmosphere is basic but clean, take away collection creates a chilly draught, but happy to have this restaurant so close to my home.
