I always come to this restaurant because I love their food, especially the tom kha soup. However, during my most recent visit on April 9th, 2022, my family and I noticed that the soup did not taste the same as before. We were disappointed as this soup was the main reason we dined at this restaurant. We observed that the bamboo shoots were not the same as before and there were hardly any mushrooms in the soup. We would prefer if they could go back to the previous chef or recipe, as the current version is not as good. The soup seemed watered down and lacked the rich coconut flavor that we enjoyed before. No-frills Thai food eatery with fun vibes. This place is a hole in the wall but very affordable, and all the staff are nice and friendly. Don't expect fancy seating. But there's fun colorful lights and large screen TVs. It's casual and comfortable. The food is standard fare and nothing extraordinary but decent. Most importantly, this place is open late which makes it a great option if you have shopped until you dropped at the nearby outlet mall. I wouldn't be surprised if this place was more renowned for its hospitality than its food. The khua khai and dragon noodles were tasty and the portions were generous. They even offer free Thai ice cream and deep-fried ice cream for everyone! However, it was disappointing to see that they served water and drinks in foam cups. I hope they can switch to more eco-friendly containers for the environment.

The food was delicious. The waitress told us that they had the spiciest Thai food in Orange County. I think she was right. On a spice scale of 1-10, 2 is about the correct heat if you like a 4-5 at most other places. I will be back. Reasonable prices and entrees included Thai tea and a side of rice as well as fried ice cream.
Amazing late night dining spot in the area! Khua Khai was good. Quantity was a lot. Blown away with their service! They Offered free Deep fried Ice cream in the end which was a pleasant surprise.Water was served in foam cups. Just wish they get rid of foam containers and cups for the sake of environment.
They give you free beverages- Thai Iced Tea refills! Super nice server and delicious food. The place is nice with little water fountains. When they brought my food out it was covered and they set it down with a little cute reveal. All this and still great prices.
Wow.. don’t know how people give this place good review.. food was horrible period.. been to a lot of authentic Thai places.. this is not tom yum or papaya salad. Tom yum soup have to pay extra for shrimp otherwise you only can have mushrooms… Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I tried the panang curry and was not impressed. The sauce was like a cheap gravy with no flavor. It's possible that other dishes at this restaurant are good, but I would recommend avoiding the curry.
