We went to Cafe Di Siam last night with our neighbours for dinner and were so impressed with both the food and the friendly and helpful service. I am a coeliac so really appreciated how our waitress highlighted the GF entrees of which there were...about choices and let me know that there were only or other items on the menu that could not be made GF fantastic !!!! I decided on the Salt and Pepper Calamari for entree and the Pork ribs and a Lamb red curry. Our friends shared the red duck curry and a Mataba with prawns. There are many little restaurants in the Wellington Point centre but Thai De Siam is by far our favourite. It was always good Thai food but recently the quality of the food has become excellent. Rich flavours, fresh vegetables and seafood, good quality meat. My...favourite is red curry duck and others are Crispy Skin duck in garlic and ginger sauce and Bangkok Dangerous with prawns. Last time we were there the chef took the time to enquire whether we enjoyed our meals. We certainly did. Inside is air conditioned and outside seating available too. Efficient, polite and friendly service. Being BYO is a plus price wise. The menu prices are very reasonable. Best Thai food around.
Small and busy restaurant, didn’t have a booking and were initially seated outside. As it was a chilly evening, we asked and were moved indoors once a table became available. The young waitress was very busy but super efficient and polite. Huge portions, lots of...veggies. My daughter loved the flat Thai bread. Tasty red curry beef, meat was the only let down, not sure how it was cooked,but was slightly rubbery. Overall a good experience. The whole street in Wellington Point is a bustling eating spot with great choices, recommend as an alternative night out for Brisbane folks.
We arrived about on a Sunday night without a booking. The restaurant was not very busy yet so we chose an al fresco table. This is a BYO restaurant that did not charge corkage. The staff were excellent. The wine and meals arrived promptly....My Crispy Duck was delicious, as was the jasmine rice, but my wife, who only ordered the Mixed Entree, said several of the items seem to have been cooked from frozen, especially the fish cake. We have dined here several times and each time has been a different experience. Tonight’s meal was disappointing. The waiter did not ask how hot or spicy we wanted to food as is normally asked here and everything was quite bland. The ribs were about...half the size of the usual serving we have and were awful, over cooked and very fatty. We have had good meals from there previously but the quality and service is very inconsistent.
Our group of people dined here on Xmas eve we had no booking as our friends turned up unexpectedly but we were greeted with a friendly face and given a lovely table Our wait for food was a bit long but given circumstances quite...expected and after all it was worth the wait everything we tried was delicious and at aground pp we were very happy
Friendly service, fresh ingredients and the flavours never disappoint. Good variety on the menu with different meat options of chicken, beef, lamb and seafood. Presentation is good and the staff are always helpful and informative. We always come away from here feeling satisfied and would...never say well we're not going back there
We regularly have the lunch special here on the weekend. The service from Bora and Cooper is wonderful and welcoming, the prices are very good and the serves are generous but most importantly the food is delicious. Usually fairly busy restaurant...very very tasty food...a bit different to the usual old Thai food you can get anywhere. They take great pride in the quality of their meals. The service is attentive without being in your face. A lovely restaurant to visit.
