This place has been here for just around 9 years, but it was first in Bow Island! Well done Ken! Incredibly yummy, the owner Ken, (fantastic guy) has spoiled us and brought us a hot fish sauce with rice balls. Quite good, with a serious zip! Fresh flavours that are not overwhelming, they marry well! Quite good! The meals arrive! Lemongrass chicken, traditional pad Thai with veggies and mahi-mahi fish. The lemongrass chicken was rice flour breaded and seemed to absorb the flavour well. It was deliciously balanced, with both taste and texture! I was pleasantly surprised to find such authentic flavors in a small town. My group of six enjoyed dinner here and shared all the dishes. Our favorite was the green curry, but we also loved the summer rolls, prawn rolls, tom yum soup, Thai BBQ chicken with coconut rice, drunken noodle, and mango rice for dessert. This was the first time I tried coconut rice and it was very aromatic. Overall, this was one of the best Thai meals I've had in Canada. The soup in particular reminded me of the flavors I experienced in Thailand. It may be too sour for some, but I personally loved it. One of the best Thai food restaurant I visited, the ingredients they use must be very good because the flavour in the plates represented. The level of hotness in the entrees can be from mild to extra hot but still maintain the taste of the food, not just burning your tongue. The service is friendly and patience if you take time to order because you are asking questions about the different plates. Medicine Hat was not the place where I expected to find such a good ethnic restaurant.
My coworker and I had dinner at this restaurant, as it was conveniently located within walking distance from our hotel. The space was clean and the service was friendly. While the value wasn't exceptional, we found our dinners to be quite good. I particularly enjoyed the Tom Yum soup with noodles and shrimp at the highest level of spiciness. I ordered the traditional Tom Yum soup, which the restaurant claimed was their spiciest version. However, the soup was actually quite bland and lacked spice. It tasted like a can of tomato soup with a sprinkle of pepper. The fresh rolls and dipping sauce were also lacking in flavor. I rarely send food back, but I felt I had no choice this time. It was not worth the money.
This place is STILL incredible. We try to eat here as much as we can when we travel.. Ken is absolutely awesome and the food is authentic and melt in your mouth delicious. I know this is my second review of this place but a lot of years have passed and it is still the best place to get Thai on the road that we know of.
It tastes good. When you eat the food you can taste all of the flavors in the meal. It is costly but like all Thai food in alberta it costs a lot. Also if you like spicy food, note that the medium is not spicy at all. And the authentic is not spicy if you usually eat spicy food.
This was where me and my wife had our first date, I enjoyed the curry and teas, the price is the only reason I took one star off, the food was great. I do plan on going back again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
