You can find better taste and ambiance at Thai Brothers in Laguna Beach or Spice Thai in Lake Forest, although both are considerably more expensive and not located in San Clemente. This restaurant is a great option for takeout if you're craving Thai food locally. While the dining area has a somewhat generic feel, it's acceptable. However, the manager and servers are genuinely nice people, and the food is definitely decent. It feels almost like a hole-in-the-wall but lacks that cozy, lived-in charm. That said, the food is still satisfying. The nearby Thai Paradice in North San Clemente is a true hole-in-the-wall, but despite claiming to use the same recipes...
The Kao Pad rice was delicious; the rice was moist and the chicken tender. The Kao Pad beef was also moist and quite tasty. The Thai iced tea was creamy and smooth, and I appreciated that it wasn't too heavy on the ice—it was perfect for enjoying the tea.

The chicken in the fried rice was a bit chewy, but I still enjoyed the rice as always. Everything else was great, just like usual!

The bbq rib is so delicious! With rice and their salad mix it makes it a very refreshing meal even in the heat!
