Just discovered Thai Spy after moving to this area and I will definitely be returning as a regular. We (4) shared all meals Started with Entree Money Bags were very tasty, Thai Satay Chicken Skewers perfectly cooked, Salt Pepper Squid very lightly battered all served on fresh, crisp light salad. Mains were Massaman Curry, chef really knew his way around this one, have travelled all over and it was up there with the best, Beef Larb was well flavoured and tasty on it's bed of light crisp cabbage salad, Red Duck Curry divine sauce full of lychee, pineapple, basil and melt in the mouth duck, and Stir fry of julienned mushroom, fresh ginger and vegetables, and large pots of jasmine tea throughout...
Excellent service. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was delicious. Had the fried rice with tofu, pineapple fried rice and spring rolls. The fried rice with tofu was very tasteful and the vegetables were cooked perfectly tender with a nice crunch. The spring rolls were super tasty with a variety of vegetables including corn which I loved and dipping sauce. The pineapple fried rice was also tasty except the mild chilli I asked for was a bit more than mild however it was overall very enjoyable. And all the vegetables were so fresh and vibrant! This restaurant is a hidden gem! However, if you have little patience, it might not be the best choice for you. When I visited on a Sunday night, it seemed like they were short-staffed, so there was a bit of a wait for the food. But let me tell you, it was worth it. The Massaman Curry was absolutely delicious and definitely the standout dish of the night. The green curry, pad thai, and pad see ew were also very tasty.
After visiting this restaurant for the second time, our first visit being eight years ago, we were pleasantly surprised by the improved service and quality of the meal compared to our initial experience. My husband and I have been to this place few times. We like the tom yum goong soup, good serving for share between two of us. Friendly staff and waiting time was reasonable. Although not ideal for my son with spice and nut allergies, my husband and I may still come back for casual dining.
Really good beef massaman curry. And the spring rolls where fantastic. Always good Thai food here and quick service. We done here regularly and have always had a great meal.
Food was delicious. Portion size was very generous so careful when you are ordering too many dishes. Also service is quick you don't have to wait too long for your food.
