Went with a friend just before 3pm (neither of us are vegetarian) when they were about to close; their Bain-Marie was almost empty. They cooked up the bbq veggie for us and just got some of the last green curry and both were so delicious. Couldn't believe it was all vegetarian with their 'mock-meats'. My friend had to keep reassuring me that it wasn't actually chicken or beef because it was so authentic (I even went home and had to google it). So cheap, very filling, healthy and will highly recommend this place to anyone, vegetarian or not.
When I placed my order I asked if the food was all vegan. She said yes and I replied great! I ordered the Pad Thai and was then asked if I wanted egg???.. It really wasn't very nice. Just slop and cauliflower that looked suspiciously old and discoloured. My husband ordered the mock pork stir fry with noodles. It was so sweet it hardly tasted like a savoury dish. We've been vegan for 15+ years and with the amazing food available out there I found these meals very lazy, oily and lacking any freshness. I won't be back.
I have become a regular ar Thai Veg, I absolutely love their Bbq vegetable curry the flavours in it are amazing. The service is quick and attentive, and the food looks very appetising and fresh. I can't recommend this place enough! If you are around Bank Arcade during lunch time come to Thai Veggie Hut, you wont be dissapointed....the filled up dining room and massive line full of people speaks for itself!
We've been eating at Thai Veggie Hut for about 12 months now and it never gets old. By far the best vegetarian find in Hobart. The shop is small and always packed with both newcomers and addicted regulars. The veggie BBQ will have you questioning if that wasn't really meat you were eating, simply delicious and so flavourful. Always always always, the food prepared here is fresh and delicious and the small space fills quickly at lunchtime. Menu changes daily but BBQ veggie curry is always available and highly recommended. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
I've been coming here for years and I have yet to have a bad experience with the food/service/etc. The dishes are fairly cheap for what you receive, and it is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Hobart.
Nice place to have a meal. Specially if you are a vegan. Located in the heart of Hobart, 5 minutes away from seashore. I would go there more often and people should try it.

Tiny place but the food is excellent - try the vegie barbeque, it's addictive. All the dishes I have tried have been excellent, couldn't fault them.
