My experience at The Angel last night was very disappointing. We made a reservation for 6 people specifically for the pork belly, which was tasty but not hot enough. The butternut squash was served cold, and the Boulanger potatoes were lukewarm. One member of our group found her ravioli to be bland and not hot as well. As someone with 50 years of professional cooking experience, including as a culinary arts teacher and judge of cooking competitions, I have high expectations for kitchen standards. The service was rated a 2 out of 5, while the location was given a 4 out of 5.
Beautiful hotel and restaurant in the Cotswolds! Perfect option! The room is cozy, with a beautiful view, excellent bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are delicious and very well done. Great Sunday lunch. My wife had roast chicken, which was huge and I had roast beef. Both were excellent and highly recommended. Good beer, Hooky, and the wine list was excellent a lot of my favourite wines at an ok price. Highly recommended . Walkability: Very good walks from the pub and details can be provided.
