VERY disappointed in the hotel. We always stay at night cap accommodations. We have never had a problem till now. We checked in. Found a crack pipe on the window sill that our little kids could view. Someone had been smoking ice in the room. We requested a refund but we’re refused and offered a different room and a free coke. We changed room and it reaked of vomit. If we didn’t have the kids we would have slept in the car. I contacted booking to let them know how unhelpful The Ashley was. The Ashley lied to booking and told them they offered us a full refund! LIES They offered a partial refund. We would not change accomodation without a full refund. The staff are rude and we will never stay...
8 adults and 1 child attended for dinner on a quiet Wednesday night we all ordered and paid together. We received our garlic bread within about 15 minutes, the child’s meal 30 minutes later, 5 minutes after that one steak arrived, another few minutes then the Parma, 5 minutes later the 2 serves of ribs another few minutes fish and chips and Caesar wrap, finally after one hour and 20 minutes waiting the last meal a lamb shank arrived. Extremely disappointed, no customer service, staff had no idea of what the meals were that they were bringing out.
Food was sub par, grilled lemon chicken was clearly boiled(smell and taste) with only a small amount of time on the grill. Bland and disappointing. Eating areas needed a serious dusting and clean with big cobwebs on the wall corners. Sides were fine and the $6 schooners are why you'd come here, along with the sportsbar, which that along with the pokies I feel is the main source of focus. Won't be eating here again.
I have visited here on a few occasions as of late and have left happy each time. The Ribeye Special is great, well cooked, had generous amount veggies too 8.5/10 The chicken Parma is also very good 8/10 Ashley Grill Mix, ribs and calamari is nice but chicken wings a big miss 6.5/10 Some staff defs need more training with the food ordering system, didn’t seem to have much clue what was going on.

Went to eat with family friends and did not disappoint. Food was served fast at appropriate serving size. Food was tasty as expected and lovely staff. Tricky parking you would thought it was just street parking. Need to drive further to se that there is ample parking back but you would pass the gaming area when as you enter the building. Otherwise happy with everything.
Been in Melbourne for 4 weeks now, and we come to The Ashley Hotel at least every Saturday night for a meal, WOW, what a fabulous venue.Meals are fantastic, always cooked to perfection, and most importantly the staff go above and beyond to make you feel wonderful. Would highly recommend The Ashley Hotel, we will be forever grateful for your hospitality.
If I could give zero stars I would. Booked a night to stay with the kids and wife so the kids could have a day and night with adventures down Melbourne, checked in room to find a crack pipe literally on window sill, staff only offered partial refund, unfortunately that’s not good enough! appalling service, highly advise staying away from location
We enjoyed the generously sized meals at this restaurant, and found them to be affordable. The staff were very friendly. The sports bar had large TVs, which would be perfect for watching football games. We plan to return to explore more of what this venue has to offer.
