I have been ordering custom cakes from this lovely bakery for all of my children's birthdays for the past 5 years, and they have never let me down. Every year, they create exactly what we ask for and are always friendly and accommodating. While we are not incredibly picky about the finer details, I provide the bakery with an idea of what we want, along with a photo for guidance, and they always deliver something that shows they have paid close attention to our request and put in real effort. This bakery is like something out of a fairy tale! The window is filled with adorable holiday items alongside delicious cupcakes, cookies, and cakes that can serve up to 50 people. The staff is incredibly charming and ready to assist you. The cozy atmosphere and beautiful display cases make this place feel like it belongs on TV. The cakes are all incredible and you can even order custom cakes with just 24 hours notice. If you're lucky, you may be able to snag one of their display cakes on the spot. I recently tried out The Bakery House for the first time for my 10th birthday party. Due to a last-minute change in my schedule due to a personal issue, I had to reschedule the pick-up date. The staff at The Bakery House were incredibly accommodating and held my deposit until I was able to pick up the order. I had requested a Lego-themed cake for my party, and the bakery exceeded my expectations with an amazing product that received numerous compliments. The cake was absolutely delicious! Small bakery right outside the city. Their cakes are delicious and have been a hit for all birthday parties and events. Their staff can easily customize them for you. Some may think they are a bit pricey and in comparison to a grocery store that would be correct. But remember for grocery stores many of their cakes and sweets come frozen, are thawed, and then decorated before selling. They are not made on-site. Only downfall about the bakery house is their staff (at times) can be a bit rude or very unhelpful.
I really enjoy the cake at this restaurant, but I wish the staff would take responsibility for their mistakes and apologize when they mess up. Instead, they tend to blame the customer and cause inconvenience, especially when I have to drive back to pick up my order again. They need to improve their communication skills when it comes to discussing the cake with customers. It's a shame because the cake is so good, but the service has been steadily declining during my recent visits.
Last week we bought a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. We have purchased many items over the years and this pie was an expensive treat. Unfortunately, the pie looked better that it tasted. It was very bland and tasted like someone had forgot to add spice to the mix. Probably the last pie we will purchase.
