Full Vegan Menu! We always pick The Barge and Bottle to celebrate family birthdays because there is something for everyone, burgers, steaks, pub classics and now an additional full Vegan menu with 15 dishes over three courses to choose from! I had the starter Vegan soup of the day which was homemade rustic tomato and basil with a Bretzil bread roll, soup was full of flavour and texture with a punchy kick to it, delicious. Next up was the Vegan lasagne served with Bretzil garlic bread with mixed salad and chips. The Vegan lasagna had pasta layers and topped with melted Vegan cheese that actually tasted of cheese! excellent family-run pub and restaurant, on the side there may be the largest covered sitting area in free in any sleaford venue with heating also. we have been shown to a table in the restaurant where we are never disappointed for their Schellfisch chips and muddy heaps from the extensive menu this dish, I do not despise anyone to find better fish and chips in the country. the quality and presentation is brilliant and it is great to have 'real' fresh chips in contrast to frozen, plus the tartaric acid sauce and lemon wedge are a super supplement to the presentation. the staff was very efficient, friendly and attentive, we had an excellent pleasant meal. highly recommended
I can honestly say that this place exceeded our expectations tonight! The gluten free options are amazing, so much to choose from which is rare! Portions were huge, ended up taking our chorizo loaded sweet potato fries home with us lol Cannot fault anything. The owner is lovely, took the time to talk to us about the menu and the gluten free options. His wife who works there aswell is GF so he knew all about what it was and the seriousness of it. We will be back the next time we are here. My new fav place to eat out in Sleaford!!
Many choices on the dedicated vegan menu. You can say that the cook has given much attention to the vegan options. We had the crushed mushrooms with sweet chilli dimmer for appetizers, vegan lasagna, (small) salad, garlic bread and chips and shared the fruit with passion fruit sorbet. It was all delicious. I'd go back the next time we're in the area.
we have booked our table for 9 and 4 spaniels in advance and the service was excellent. our table was ready for us at the arrival and the personal helpful, friendly and efficient. we had all 9 of us very happy with eating that was exceptional worth for money. the personalized water bowls for the dogs. we will call again if in the opposite.
We were really impressed by the selection of foods on the vegan menu. Much more possibilities than I expected. We had the vegan lasagna with the bretzel garlic bread, really delicious. The staff was nice and helpful. We will definitely return, it is a great place for the family to come together, each has options to eat what they want.
Me and my friend came in on Saturday, it was extremely busy however they still managed to find us a table (as we forgot to book! and despite how busy they were they couldn’t do more for us. On top of that the food was delicious! Thank you!
Lovely bar and outdoor covered space good value honest pub grub at reasonable prices. Dog friendly. Parking in short stay pay and display across the road. £2.10 2 hours. Great lunch stop on the way to Norfolk
a large restaurant, which essentially offers pub-grub, but in a somewhat better environment. eating was plentiful and well cooked, waiter polite and attentive, a pleasant evening meal. bier was good.
