I had recommended this restaurant to my family members, based on a previous enjoyable dining experience a couple of weeks ago. However, our lunch today was disappointing compared to the previous visit. One of the main courses was missing from our order and arrived late, causing a delay in the meal for one of our party. Additionally, two of us were disappointed to find that the dessert we wanted was already sold out. This experience was not up to par with my previous visit, and unfortunately, the guests I brought with me today were also unimpressed and likely will not return.
Called in on New Year's Eve afternoon and had an excellent meal. Normally my wife and I eat at the Barn Owl during the week and enjoy the senior citizens menu. However this day being a Saturday we ate from the main menu/special and were both excellent. My wife had the salmon/prawn pasta whilst I had the steak and onion baton. Service again was efficient and friendly. What else can I say but what a great way to finish 2022. Since been back to welcome 2023 enjoying our favourite senior citizens meals.
This place is an absolute gem! I'm currently sat in an outdoor heated pod, with a good book, great coffee the most beautiful view across the canal open fields. Staff here can't do enough for you, they're helpful, friendly, polite quick too! Sophie reserved me a pod for after a long walk greeted me with a big smile a warm welcome. The roast dinners being eaten in the neighbouring pods by families looked delicious, next time i'm coming back for one of those myself!
Me and my wife enjoyed our Sunday lunch on 14 May at the Barn owl. However on returning home found we had been overcharged. After phoning them they were sorry and asked for our bank details to pay monies outstanding. We are still awaiting confirmation on any results after trying to contact them on the phone, alas no answer. It does spoil things and maybe think how to improve customer confidence. Margaret Evans

The service and food at this restaurant were exceptional. Despite arriving early for our reservation, the staff kindly provided us with a pod to wait in until our table was ready. The Sunday roast was delicious, with perfectly cooked vegetables and a generous portion of meat. They even welcomed my sister's dog and even brought out some roast beef for him.
Really nice food and staff..it was busy on a a Sunday lunch but the staff were coping fine headed by a lovely Lady who had a great manner..very efficient and attentive Will for sure be going again as the food was quality
Went with friends who had been before and love it. We weren’t disappointed. The service was above excellent and the food matched. Good old fashioned home cooking. A great location too. Highly recommended.
Food was beautiful cannot express enough how nice it was. Pleasant surroundings watching the world go by. Sat in The Goose pod. Lovely day for my birthday.

Our boxing day meet up with friends from Northwest casual classics car club. Meals are always a high standard
