So I almost gave this amazing establishment 5 stars The only reason why I didn’t give it a full five stars is not because I did not enjoy the food. Food was amazing! Pizza was great (meat lovers). A little too greasy but I don’t mind folding mypizza and draining it off… We got some chicken fingers as appetizers! Guess what?! Ranch and honey is an amazingcombination. If I had more room I would have eaten the short rib grilled cheese but there is a bottom to my stomach afterall. I have visited this restaurant twice now and had a great time on both occasions. The first visit was for happy hour, and the second was for brunch. I had reservations for one visit and none for the other, but I was seated right away both times. The staff was friendly, and our server, Max, did a wonderful job of being attentive and pleasant. The happy hour snacks were tasty, and the brunch burger and tea sandwich board from the Alice in Wonderland themed pop up were excellent. My husband and I will definitely be coming back again. Good restaurant for family dinner or friends dinner. A little too loud and uncomfortable crowd for a date-night. Food: 5-star. We had pesto pasta and falafel sandwich. Both were delicious. Drinks were 3/5. Could be better, but felt standard. Beersselection was 5/5 if you are into German beers, or local crafts. Desert menu left much to be desired. Did not feel like tryinganything. Service was attentive and at par with what you expect at such a restaurant. Nothing special, not bad.
1st time I've been. Heard good things. Went for my wife's birthday. Ambiance is very nice but it is very loud. Was not blown away with the menu as I had hoped. Food was average at best. Limited menu. I found it bland and the seasonal veggie side dish was not cooked properly. Only dessert offering was a cookie? I would possibly consider giving another chance, but will probably stick to Cafe Matisse for a special dinner out.
My first time visiting Barrow House. Me and 3 of my girlfriends met for dinner and drinks. I was impressed with the cocktails and the food. The Shark dish was cooked perfectly! The ambiance was wonderful as well as the staff. I love the individual cozy rooms. The place is bigger than it looks on the outside. Overall I'll be back!
