great hotel! the 2 watts behind the bar were fantastic. so enthusiastic and looked like they really enjoyed working there. I had only breakfast, but the quality was fantastic again and I think all room prices included breakfast. main reason that I stayed there was for the fact that it has a parking lot. the room itself was a great value and a very good size. bathroom nice and modern. only 10 minutes to foot in the city center, but only something I would say is its tip of a steep hill so that older can fight but taxi is very cheap in the city.
The Sunday roast we had was very tasty, with beef as the main course. The seasoning was good, but the roast potatoes were slightly soggy and could have been crispier. We also ordered the mushroom cobbler with a pea shoot salad, which was extremely tasty. It was also a great choice for those watching their calories. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience.
My friend and I had lunch at this restaurant during the week and we had a great time. The service was friendly and helpful, and we sat by a window enjoying a delicious meal. The only minor criticism we had was that the meat portions were quite large; however, we felt there could have been more variety in the menu.
We made use of the 50% offer off mains in January. Fish pie was good but the steak was poor. If we had paid full price we would have sent it back. May have been a bad choice. Service was very good. The Sunday Roast was delicious (we had chicken and Beef). All that was on the plate was well cooked. Cauliflower cheese as an extra was a bit mushy, but overall good meal and would revisit.
We were disappointed by the menu when it reopened months ago but we were attracted back by the January offer and it’ll be a local favourite again now.
