I wouldn’t bother, booked a table for 10 people for 7:30pm. At 7:40pm the waitress came out and said we had 5 minutes to order as the kitchen closed at 8, why not tell us this when booking a table for 7:30? What if the table wanted desert? Anyway ordered food came fairly quick. But there was a meal missing and all that was said when asked was ‘we’re sorry the kitchen staff have gone ’ that was it. The poor waitress was the only staff on serving taking food and drinks orders. Awful service. Why the hell would someone think it’s acceptable to take a booking for a large table 30 mins before the kitchen closed. Can't really fault this pub at all. A friendly welcome as soon as we set foot in the bar. Really smart looking interior. Good beer selection. The children enjoyed their food, especially the chicken nuggets! And my wife and I thought the three sharing dishes we had were superb. Decent play area which kept the children amused, despite the rain, so we could have some peace and quiet, which was much appreciated! We liked it so much we're planning on returning next Sat with the In-laws.

Went for a meal with family, have used the birch many times this year but could not believe the size of the adult meals it was like having a kids meal, very poor. The service was good as always restaurant was very clean it was just the size of the meals which was a major concern, would I go again probably not so disappointed. It was not value for money.

We had a last-minute craving for a nice Sunday lunch and stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant. It truly lived up to its reputation as a great local pub with fantastic atmosphere and service. A great pub with a lovely atmosphere. We had the sharing menu with an extra side dish of loaded fries. The portions were good and food was served quickly, was hot and tasty. Customer service was great. We visited on a busy Friday night, there was a great atmosphere, a mixture of ages and everyone seemed really friendly. Will definitely return

We went to this pub for a Sunday dinner with our family and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were professional and friendly. The food was incredible, with generous portions, and the desserts were delicious. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

A warm welcome, a busy Sunday pub with no tables but the lovely couple who run it squeezed us and even apologised for the table not being great… it was perfect! We had to buy them a drink to say thank you for such fab care and service and food! WOW what a feast!

I don’t know wat the problem is here …. There is one barmaid that has such a bad attitude that stops me going in there …… obviously doesn’t want the custom….. tried 3 time and returned hoping she’s gone … but hasn’t….hang on another 2 years Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

We had a great time at the restaurant. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The variety of beers was also impressive. The atmosphere at the pub was laid-back and welcoming. We are definitely planning to return.

Very friendly lovely pub. We all had food that was delicous and very good quality. Backgound music on just the right volume, not too loud. Seperate dining room if you like to dine in a quieter area
