I went to this pub with friends over the weekend for drinks and good company. While the company was great, the pub itself still has a 1990's vibe with old decor, stained carpet, and a dusty fireplace. It's a mix of old and new, with rustic wood paneling and chipped cupboards alongside large screen TVs and tacky bunting. The smell of the pub reminded me of a nursing home. The drink selection was disappointing, with only two draft beers available and no popular bottled options. The prices were reasonable, but overall, I wouldn't rush to visit again.
a traditional pub of the good old fashioned era,,,great ales and plenty of choice always on tap with cheap prices ,,no restaurant with wild families,,,just excellent sport,,tv,,quiz night,,and live acts,, a pub where people go to socialise and enjoy themselves and not feel as if they have wandered into a bistro by mistake,,,well done landlord
We are thrilled that our neighborhood establishment is now offering delicious, affordable meals on Saturdays and Sundays until 6pm. The fish pie we had tonight was exceptional, and the spaghetti and meatballs were delicious. The prices are reasonable and perfect for families. We were thoroughly impressed. Thank you.
A wonderful, traditional pub located in Hoghton that greets guests warmly and offers very competitive prices, along with fantastic live entertainment. A five-star experience!
