I recently dined at this restaurant for Sunday dinner. The interior of the inn is unimpressive, outdated, and in need of a good cleaning. However, the meal I ordered, which included crispy vegetables, was quite tasty. Unfortunately, the green beans were served cold. I enjoyed the meal enough to ask the waitress if I could take the leftovers home, which included Yorkshire pudding. To my disappointment, when I got home and went to eat the Yorkshire pudding, it was soggy and untouched. The waitress had inexplicably separated it from the rest of the meal without informing me. When I inquired about this, I received no apology or offer of a replacement. Due to this poor customer service experience...
Sunday Dinner Various meat dinners.Pros large size dinner at a great price, food was nice and presented well. nice deserts presented well.Cons yorkshire puddings were tough on the day we arrived. Struggled to cut them up. The cheese sauce they use on the veg was more like nacho cheese. Would recommend using a more creamy sauce for a dinner. The decor isnt the best very cafe vibe inside. Although still clean.Overall it was a great experience just a few small issues.Would visit again 100%.3 large dinners, 3 small kids dinners and 6 desserts. 1 lemonade 3 fruit shoots all for £71.00. Worth the money as i thought it was fairly cheap.
This pub has a menu and quality of food to match much more expensive restaurants. The staff are really friendly and no problems getting a table. It is also in a great location and highly recommend to anyone travelling up the A19 to stop here for food rather than at one of the places at Wolviston Services.
Sunday lunch was worst I've had, everything overcooked and tasteless , puddings so hard unable to cut them, when asked for fresh one told they are all too hard because they had been left in the oven too long, no apology or offer of alternative. Complete waste of money as it was inedible

delicious freshly cooked meals in a clean, cozy environment. the menu choices are diverse and range from traditional pub to something else. I had herb laughs on a bed Thai veg, flawless! puddings saw and tasted amazing, well worth a visit.
I had two wonderful meals with a rating of 10/10. Kudos to the chef for their exceptional skills. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere with beautiful decor.
lunch was amazing and the waitress was fantastic, felt to go from too foot to house, would definitely recommend everyone
Anyone who eats here will not be disappointed with the food, service, or prices.
