One of the first things that I notice any store or restaurant that I visit is the service and body language of the staff. The girls behind the counter were awesome - super friendly, great moods, very polite (even when it took me a while to decide which flavour of ice cream to have!). The icecream was really delicious and I loved the Adirondack chairs all lined up out front for customers to sit on while watching the boats in the lake!
We have been going here for years. I know there are other places to get ice cream in Wasagaming with shorter line ups but the Boardwalk has the best selection of soft serves and hard serve ice creams. I have had the dip comes at other places both at the lake and at home but the Boardwalk dip really is that much better. Every time we go to another place I am disappointed.
Not much was still open at the end of September - but the Boardwalk was. The staff were friendly and welcoming and always ready to chat and talk about the town and surroundings. They have several menu items available, coffee is always ready, as is the ice cream. They also sell clothing and souvenirs. They will be closed for the winter after Thanksgiving.
I ordered 3 bean tacos (one of the cheapest foods on earth) and the total was $15. I thought, hey, maybe they'll be substantial, but I was definitely wrong. They tasted great, but presentation and size for veggie tacos is way off. I would pay 5 dollars for that. Huge rip off. Please step up your game and charge an appropriate price! The Boardwalk is where we go for ice cream at Clear Lake. Many flavours of hard & soft serve. Good collection of souvenir items including clothing. Charming old fashioned seating area with a great view of the lake!
The ice cream was really good here. Worth the wait in line. The guy making my twisty seemed new, and took a while but got it correct in the end. Everyone was quite happy with their order

Had a cone tonight - for flavour it gets a 5, however the serving size was stingy. I ordered a large flavoured soft serve (black licorice).
