Discovered this gastro pub by chance as we were having a Sunday walk in the woods next to the pub. Great variety of starters, mains and desserts. Beautiful food presentations and great flavours along with a good selection of wines, all at a reasonable cost. My new favourite pub in the Reading area.
Lovely lunch here at the weekend. The pub has been done up really nicely the old bar is cosy and characterful and the dining room is beautiful and airy. And the food was outstanding! Try the pork belly if they have it on the menu again! Can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the garden.
The two sides of this pub and restaurant and the garden offer the best of English. Excellent food and a proper and cosy pub with expansive garden and terrace for the good weather. The team and the menu do the location fitting justice.
The pub has recently had a refurb is light spacious, Staff are very attentive friendly, the food was amazing , well cooked , well presented very innovative menu ! We really enjoyed it defo go again
Biased 5* from me come along and enjoy a beautiful yet up to date Grade II listed food led pub with a relaxed atmosphere championing local food and drink done properly :0) x
Visited today for the first time food was amazing staff very friendly and helpful definitely worth a visit the laminated OS map was very handy but did miss our train
Fantastic burgers available in the barn or for takeaway. The ales are well-maintained. The restaurant consistently delivers excellent food and service.
