Had my Birthday BBQ at The Greyhound and they did not disappoint. We had the whole garden which was a fantastic setting and loads of room for people to mingle and relax. The BBQ was AMAZING Rob the head chef really knows how to mix things up and made the whole event an absolute joy, there were over 50 people there and everyone agreed the food was superb. Thank you to David Brown and his team for making it such great afternoon and evening for everyone, 10 out of 10 for preparation, delivery and service. Would not hesitate to recommend you all to anyone who is looking for that little bit of extra attention to detail. Keep up the good work and see you for one of your Awesome Sunday lunches soon...
Been here many times as we are local and love the food here for special occasions, we usually have the have the Chateaubriand as it's exceptional. What were served was very poor, half the normal size and overcooked, plus not seasoned, it certainly was not meat to share with another person, plus we were waiting 50 mins for it to arrive. We since discovered that an agency chef was in place of the previous chef, who was an excellent chef. Sent an email with my feedback but got no response. A real shame as we'll not go back until we hear that service has been resumed to normal.
I had a fantastic evening at The Greyhound, which has recently come under new management (I believe since summer '23). The menu has been streamlined, with the pricey wagyu options removed, but there are still a variety of beef cuts available (such as T-bone, Chateaubriand, ribeye, etc). The starters were delicious, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The staff and management were very attentive, and although it wasn't a budget-friendly meal, I felt that the quality of the food and overall experience justified the cost. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
impressive would be an understatement the menu was like a masterpiece culinary joy in his own right! that was really an amazing experience. the weeping list for the food service was exquisite yes excellent lace wines, but not too ridiculous to praise them and to give them an example of how I would rate that, I would bring it to the same with alain ducasse in monaco! Seriously, eating was so good! did I really write that?
Great venue for a Sunday relaxed lunch in beautiful green and well landscaped surroundings. Enjoyed lamb 2-ways, pepper Steak and roast sirloin. All were perfectly executed and accompanied by a selection of vegetables and a maître d’ recommended Appassimento south Italian red wine. Service was excellent. We also enjoyed the sounds of a red kite with obvious gastro good taste!
had the pleasure to take my fancy here for a birthday meal and it was amazing to champagne to get in then scallops 3 away, krab 3 wise both dishes were amazing and for net 24oz T-Knoe with all the circumcisions now when their a red meat type of person this was to have seen the! and my mrs went for the Thai green birthday
very professional and friendly staff, nothing we asked was too much annoyed! great venue with unique decor and fantastic food really fought to so many options sound delicious! will be definitiw again next time in the opposite.
Went last night to sample the new menu here and the newly refurbed interior. As every top notch and did not disappoint. Great that the bar area is now bigger and the owner and staff are as charming as ever.
We had the most fantastic experience last night here, tasting the new and substantial menu. The food was exquisite and the service fantastic. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!
