Booked the function room for a small gathering and the venue was very accommodating provide buffet and was communicating all the way through. Was really well planned and very tasty sandwiches. Would highly recommend the venue for anyone needing venue hire to pop in for a local drink. Managers are polite and friendly and good value for money
I have never tried the food here, but it is always a nice place to enjoy a quiet drink in town. They serve a decent pint of Guinness and have a good selection of whiskey. The absence of music is notable, as it creates a more conducive atmosphere for conversation and adds to the traditional pub feel of the place.
Loved my visit last night, been dying to come here for some time now and finally made it down. I think it was Dave and Justine were class bartenders and really enjoyed my chat with them both. I managed to try pretty much every single jack Daniels while I was in there and they was grand.

My son and I called in today for a drink and we ended up having lunch too. The barman was really nice and helpful too. Quiet as it was before lunch, but a great traditional British pub I remember going in when I worked in Manchester about 30 years ago.
This Manchester pub has a great heritage interior and is only 2 minutes away from the Peveril of the Peak. They offer a decent selection of real ales and I had a good chat with the landlord.

Best pub in UK. Tony Wilson and New order frequented this pub, they used to hold band meetings in the back rooms, a true piece of history.
