The Capital Grille

I've come to The Capital Grille nearly every year for a birthday (large party room, several times) and have never had a poor experience until today. The acting manager, Chris Ackley was rude, dismissive and completely unprofessional this evening. I initially received an over cooked steak, the chef was in agreement. The second steak (ribeye arrived and was extremely fatty throughout). I sent the steak back and the manager came out. I explained to him that I always come here and have always ordered the same steak. That particular steak was simply excessively fatty. He was not interested in listening. we came to the Capital Grille today at 12:30 for our 30th wedding anniversary. The table was decorated so cute for us with a card and glitter and a personal greeting from our waiter, Aaron. First of all the food was exceptional. We had the lobster bisque, which was probably the best I've ever had followed by a shared Caesar salad. Cold. crisp. Just perfect. My husband had the filet and I had the ribeye steak. Let me tell you they were perfection. chard dark on the outside and pink on the inside and so flavorful that you just couldn't stop eating. Sam's potatoes and the cream spinach were fabulous accompaniments then a wonderful surprise with a beautiful, happy anniversary tray of 2 desserts...

I really enjoy coming here because I like the bar atmosphere. Usually we sit at the bar or a table in the bar. The service is always very good. I like the bartenders and the food is very good. My only reason for not going five stars all the way is I just feel the prices are a little high for what you're getting. Parking: On the weekends it can be a little tough trying to find an open spot that's close to the restaurant. Upscale, wonderful service and a friendly environment. The food is wonderful. Can be pricey but, it's worth it. Had a special birthday dinner with my daughter. Renee took wonderful care of us. Drink menu is great. Food is above average. One of the more reliably good restaurants in Cleveland, it's a chain but very good. The ambience is very good. They somehow managed to survive the pandemic and come out pretty good on the other end. their food is very good. And they boast some of the best service you're going to get in Cleveland.
