We went to this restaurant for Sunday roast and found the staff to be very helpful and the service excellent. We all shared the roast beef and lamb, both of which were delicious. Our only suggestion would be to have homemade Yorkshire puddings instead of the pre-made ones. Overall, it was a lovely lunch in a beautiful setting with friends. We would definitely visit again!
We had a fantastic roast dinner at this restaurant. We ordered the beef, lamb, pork, and nut roast, and all six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The portions were generous and the cauliflower cheese was delicious. The desserts were just as good as the mains. The service was outstanding. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. Thank you!
We dined here on a Sunday and had a roast dinner. We tried the chicken, lamb and beef all so so tasty with all the trimmings. Service was fantastic and everything with a smile. We have two children (7 and 2) and felt completely comfortable with them here. Dog friendly too so the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend.
After visiting Paycockes House we wandered into Coggeshall town looking for somewhere to have lunch and stumbled on the Chapel Inn WOW the food and the service were second to none great choice of drinks from the bar all served by the lovely Dan. Amazing Sunday Dinner with Family. The mixed roast was excellent and the kids loved their special meal and ice cream. Service was excellent and the team couldn't do enough to ensure we had a relaxed Sunday lunch. The endless pots of Gravy and additional yorkshire puddings were a definite winner.
Visited The Chappel last night with my family (13 of us) we had no booking, but despite being busy they found us a table. Everybody enjoyed their food. Waiter/barman was very friendly and helpful. Recently moved to Coggeshall so will most definitely be returning.
Truly one of the best chicken burgers I have ever tasted. Craig and the staff are very attentive, they have an excellent variety of beers, fantastic food, and overall a great place to hang out. I give it a perfect score of 10/10.
