It seems like anyone raving about how tasty this food is must be related to the owners. My experience was awful! The turkey meatloaf tasted terrible, the macaroni and cheese was just plain noodles with cheese, and the sweet potatoes were absolutely revolting. This establishment should not be serving or claiming to represent southern cooking in any way! Despite the enticing aroma upon entering, this is definitely not authentic southern cuisine.
What a hidden gem! This local family-owned place is my new go-to for a square meal. There 's nothing fancy but the food is down home delicious. This is the best 'meat two ' place in the area. You 've got to try the Collard Green Egg Rolls and the cornbread secret recipe is amazing!
I tried the stuffed pepper, which was tasty. However, the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. My wife ordered the pork tenderloin, but received a tough pork cutlet with bland gravy instead. I was expecting delicious Southern cuisine, but unfortunately, this restaurant did not deliver.
This is the best hidden soul food spot on the southside! The quality hits every time! And the customer service is top of the line! My family I love, love, love the food. The food is cooked with love and perfection. I can't get enough of the delicious cornbread, it is so light fluffy. Chef Sam his wife Alice Marie are so warm loving; they are like family.
The baked chicken was incredibly tasty, perfectly seasoned, and falling off the bone. The baked mac and cheese and collard greens were outstanding. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is owned by a cool person.
