Well the hotel looks fine from the outside and as for the inside well the restaurant/bar area looked great, they mentioned a function room but i never went there so dont know what it was honestly. There isnt much facilities there and as for going through the corridor its got decent design up until i went to the room i was staying as the heat over there not just in the hallway where my room was at but my room itself was so hot and all i was left with was a small fan that didnt blow that much wind, was pretty weak. I did find out that i was able to open the window as that got me kind of confused. My room was pretty basic and small, not much for design but the bathroom looked good
Me and my girlfiend popped in to the bar for a quick drink today and was greeted by a very friendly Michelle. We were chatting and explained it was my partners birthday. The bar is very nice and we asked to go and sit in the garden overlooking the river. 5 minutes later Michelle cane over with two very nice chocolate brownies with ice cream and strawberries and wished my girlfriend a Happy Birthday. Was such a nice surprise and they were gorgeous. Will definately be back again as we totally felt welcome. Michelle you are a star x
Popped in to use the bar. Very quiet. The outside area, with the Marquee, is looking very rundown, with weeds growing around the Marquee itself! Hopefully this will be cleaned up soon, for the Sumner. UPDATE Of late the bar never seems to be open. I pass by regularly and it always seems shut by 10pm. Garden area over road still scruffy, needs weeding. Could be a goldmine in Summer, if run properly.
Absolutely disgusting 2024.. firstly the lady on reception was running both bar and everything else..never had a clue on prices and was told on arrival the bar is shut soon .felt so sorry for her we went to leave and got locked in the building as nobody was there to run the place..left and got a better place about 2 miles away will be seeking my money back. Absolutely horrendous

A lovely team greeted us at the Clarendon, we only stayed for one night. But will be back to use a hub to visit the surrounding areas. The rooms were fine and decent, one of the strongest showers too. They have a bar here, which is brilliant priced. A car park and garden area by the river were also a nice point.
Really enjoyed a nice healthy lunch at Clarendon Hotel recently and it was perfect, wonderful summer vibes throughout, outside seating area available right by the river and lots of drinks to choose from at the bar, welcomed by very friendly staff and quick service. Thank you for lovely experience!
All.ok no issues parking was a bit iffy when i called didn't get an answer until I arrived as they didn't call me back turns out it's a enter you reg when inside the hotel. Simple enough answer?
The bar staff were fantastic Cat was such a pleasure made my stay very comfortable and I would definitely stay again, very helpful lovely lady, credit to you business

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was welcoming, the rooms were cozy, and the dining was excellent. Can't wait to return.
