I recently discovered The White Eagle restaurant and it was a pleasant surprise! If I lived in Gravesend, I would definitely be a regular here. They serve delicious Central European food and drinks that are perfect for the upcoming Autumn season. Don't let the simple appearance of the restaurant fool you, the cozy atmosphere and well-prepared country cuisine are truly delightful. The dishes are honest and flavorful, with a perfect balance of seasoning. I highly recommend trying the Zurek soup in a bread bowl, it's filling and absolutely fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful, adding to the overall great experience. I give this restaurant five stars for delivering exactly what it promis...
I used to frequent this authentic Polish restaurant for quite some time, but it had been a while since my last visit. Unfortunately, I found that the quality has declined since my previous visit. The menu has been changed, offering very few options for those with smaller appetites. The coffee machine was not working, and they did not have any dry white wine available. The food was still delicious, but the portion sizes were so large that much of it went to waste. While what we did have was tasty, we were disappointed by the limited menu which seemed to cater exclusively to the Polish community. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
I haven't had a meal this delicious in months. The food was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, and the sides were fantastic. Even though I have a big appetite, I couldn't finish my plate. I highly recommend this place. They also have a great selection of beers and drinks. The only downside is that they close slightly early.
I don't know where to start, so the soup in the bread brilliant. Dumplings very nice,pork shank £19.50) f. . ing massive. And brilliant. We had 2 soups in the bread,bottle of mid range wine, two mains and small side and paid £70. Not bad as I can't move now sooo full up. We will be back definitely..

Lovely place and lovely food! My Great Grandmother was Polish and my Grandmother half German/Polish so when I discovered this place I was so happy! The food brings back good memories for me of my Grandmother's cooking which was a mash up of German and Polish dishes.
