Well this is one of my favourite cafes to drop into for a coffee or chai. Room outback for kids to play around and out front benches to sit on. Dog friendly too which i love.Foccacias and sandwhiches are yummy and the home made vanilla slices r very nice.So if your coming into McLaren vale from the city,just next door to the old rail carriage on the left is the bakery.Its worth a stop. You wont be dissapointed..Oh and they have seating inside too in case of rain.
This is one of the better places to have something to eat for lunch if you're in a hurry or don't want to do the whole sit-down-order-from-a-restaurant thing. There are loads of options, the service is good, and the place is quite cosy inside with a nice lawn out the front. I've been there twice now (once for breakfast, once for lunch) and will certainly go back again.
On a public holiday when nothing much was opened, the Cottage Bakery was opened, fully staffed and ready for the rush. The staff were extremely friendly and did all they could to make sure we had what we wanted. Food was simple- pies, rolls and cakes but the services was great.
Whenever you are thinking of heading through McLaren Vale, or want something to do that involves a beautiful scenic drive that's family friendly... stop past for homemade baked goods, a quick luck, coffee and cake.... gluten free options available. :) Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We visited the cottage backers after reading reviews. What a disappointment! The waitress flicked crumbs from a previous customer onto the ground making a bad start. The coffee was awful so we gave up and left
Lovely spot to stop for a coffee and some delicious pastries whether savoury or sweet. Staff very helpful. Nice to sit outside in good weather and watch the world go by.
We arrived quite late in the afternoon close to closing time. Manager/owner informed us he could make us coffee. We both ordered an iced coffee. Was ok

dropped in for a quick coffee and it was very nice as was the lady who served us, and also had a quick bite on the great pastries.
