We visit here regularly for the excellent coffee and the wide range of delicious home-baked cakes. There are around half a dozen or so cakes to choose from and usually vegan options. It’s not the usual boring carrot cake and one other. For example today there were Middle Eastern made with orange, nuts and cinnamon; a lime and coconut; banana loaf and something chocolate among the selection. They also do very good breakfasts and lunches. Very friendly, local business and I recommend it very highly. It is closed Sundays and Mondays.
The coffee and cakes at this restaurant are delicious, and its location is perfect for a long walk. However, I find it frustrating that customers are no longer allowed to sit on the stone benches, which are spaced far apart, to enjoy their coffee. Sitting and resting while taking in the beautiful countryside and practicing social distancing was a great experience that has now been taken away. Despite most people wearing masks and standing apart in line, I hope the restaurant reconsiders this restriction.
This cafe is so sweet the outdoor seating and seating inside is really quaint and the service equally warm and welcoming! They even sell local bits inside, which I thought was a really nice touch. I love coming here for a bite to eat it's also such great value (especially compared to most of the other places in St. Albans!
This restaurant is a charming and welcoming spot with a pleasant outdoor seating area and tasty food. The coffee has a genuine coffee flavor and the variety of cakes is excellent. The warm goat cheese salad is especially delicious. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We hosted a 10 person afternoon tea at the Courtyard Cafe and it was lovely. We were in a private dining room, which was really nice. The food and tea were delicious and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend!
This restaurant in St. Albans is one of the coziest and most delicious spots you'll find. The staff is incredibly friendly and you must try one of their toasties - it will truly impress you.
