re: your home page the deceptive way the $10 Schnitzel for wed night only is displayed. It has very small print and even with glasses on it was a strain to read that says it is only in the front bar , and even when staff were asked there was no mention of it being available at all let alone in the front bar. A further issue was the outrages prices charged for a gin and tonic $14 is absurd unless you go to the upmarket gin bars in the city where they are served appropriately , who fills up a long glass with all but 1/2 inch of the whole bottle tonic (yep all it tasted of was tonic for that price !!) there was no lemon /lime in the presentation ..had to go back to the bar to add that ..please...
Had lunch here recently for the first time in a long time. On arrival we were confronted with a sign asking us to wait to be seated. Nothing wrong with that, as it happens in most pubs. However, we waited and we waited. Just as we were about to leave someone turned up and showed us to a table. There was no explanation about how to order, e.g. table service or at the bar, so we hailed someone else who told us how to order. We had quite a lengthy wait for our meals but they were worth the wait. The food was delicious, and the wine list was good. The staff were friendly but the service left a lot to be desired.
Have just enjoyed lunch here for the first time since the bistro was renovated. Definitely some big improvements, with the best of them that the pokies is now walled off so you don't have the constant noise from them. Instead, the music is tasteful, and would suit most age groups. The decor is tasteful, and we all commented that the dining chairs were very comfortable. The meals were all highly regarded, with our group having the grilled salmon, marinara fettucine, and the battered fish. Now that the menu has been further updated, we will be coming back more regularly.
We used to go to this hotel on a regular basis but havent been since October last year. We were very disappointed. We always had the $12 senior special and the place was packed. There was only 4 other people there besides us. The meals were very ordinary and my husbands salad and haloumi was a disgrace. The staff were very pleasant but were all cleaning. Windows, chairs etc. This hotel has now lost its seniors lunch clients. We were told after we had paid that we could have had 20% discount for seniors. Not impressed. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The crown has improved there service and food amazingly great job :) as we had stopped going a few mths ago because of the food and service . We live local and thought we would see how we go. Very impressed last night with the food and service was amazing and again today we couldnt stop talking about the pizza. So we rang and ordered 2 more and fantastic service and again awesome thanks :) we all need a second chance to improve great work with improvement :) we will be back
Very impressed. Hubby had the pork ribs and I had the vegan burger. Both with the crispest chips ever. Dessert was lovely too- caramel waffles and chocolate mousse. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Restaurant was very quiet- with food that nice, can't understand why. Only suggestion would be to have a few more vegetarian choices, however I would have the vegan burger again, as it was delicious. Also had some gluten free options.
We have been here a few times and find that the food is good. The prices are very reasonable and the food arrives hot and tasty. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. It is great for families and it is big and spacious. The service is friendly and the children's meals always come out first.
We called in for the quiz and a meal, all nine of us, every ones meal was ok apart from the two who ordered the steak pie, they were really tough and gristly and were not finished. Staff were nice and friendly but I cant recommend the food Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food was typical pub food, the salad bar was average. The over all atmosphere was noisy and all you can hear when you are having your meal is poker machines.
