This is the first 'North American ' style lounge that I have been to in Brisbane that lives up to the claim.<br/ <br/ Defiant Duck has a fun atmosphere with loud music, a few TVs, a pool table, and plenty of flexible/communal seating. <br/ <br/ It 's definitely a lounge, so I wouldn 't stray too far from beer, but they have decent cocktails and pitchers, too. The food is flawlessly executed, arriving at the table almost immediately and having much higher quality/flavour than typical lounge/pub food. If you're a fan of American food like burgers, hot dogs, and fries, you'll love the menu here. We couldn't stop drooling just looking at it! We started off with the Char-Grilled Wings ($12.00) with buffalo sauce, served with a tasty blue cheese dipping sauce. The wings were not only flavorful but also had plenty of meat on them – a definite win in my book!

Defiant Duck, Newstead, Brisbane,Qld.<br/ Terrific little joint which will be loved by locals. Big choice of beers on tap and lots of USA style fast foods. Really fast and efficient service. So take your time before ordering.<br/ Nothing to complain about reasonable price for quality burgers,hotdogs and wonderful sides.<br/ Worth the visit. However not to be defient,but no duck on the menu??<br/ #facxual_events
Came here for a date night with the mrs and tried a heap of different menu options (Wings/Burgers etc). The food was pretty decent and the staff were pretty laid back and friendly. I’d recommend this place to people just wanting to have a few beers and some banter with mates. I didn’t win any brownie points with the mrs after picking this place and therefore was unsuccessful in the bedroom there after.
Great place if your looking for some drinks and eats. The food selection is pretty good, the truffle mac and cheese is worth a try. The wings are pretty standard, on the smallish side. Service is ok and love the live acoustice sessions they have there on the weekends. Really makes it a cool vibe.
I walked in on a Saturday night without a reservation for drinks, and the manager was very welcoming and found us a table. We ordered drinks using the clever table top 'me&u' system. The drinks were excellent and came out in 5 minutes or less! I will definitely be returning!

Jacob, the bartender, was extremely professional and efficient. He should be recognized and rewarded for his hard work last night while taking care of a large group.
Have been here twice now. Great customer service, food is served very quickly! Fantastic atmosphere. Amazing food. Mac cheese croquettes are a must.
