I kid you not, ran out of bread. Rookie error, its freezable. (Some excuse about freshness incoming) Rocked up with the family, 5 adults, 2 kids. To hear the disappointing news, we'd already ordered a round of drink so decided to order what we could, mostly fries. I get to the bar only to be told to use the app. We couldn't be bothered If the staff couldn't either. We sat and watched couples and family also walk out. In the highly competitive hospitality watching walk out the door will lead to closure. We decided to order pizza for delivery and walked home. And another thing, its Cuban themed, so why are they playing soul music? Get some rumba pumping.. I'll try again in 6 months.
Came in for food and drinks with friends. Had a lovely time and food was good. However, when I got up to leave I noticed my trousers were covered in white and brown dog hairs. (I do not own a dog). Also, my friend suffers with allergies, she started to get itchy eyes and blocked nose. We was on table 20. After I got up I could also see hairs all stuck on the cushions which we sitting on. The circumstance could’ve been a lot worst if her allergies were more severe. I think dogs shouldn’t be on the sofas where people eat and drink. Overall, we had a lovely time just that one downfall.
Food was fantastic. Small menu, but they have a signature and they do it really well. We arrived at a really busy time but the guy from the kitchen let us know that he was getting to our order and was apologetic when it arrived...it wasn't very long anyway but seeing and smelling the other food definitely made us hungry! Really friendly staff, both behind the bar and at the table. Lively and busy pub with our dog welcome. Good selection of beers too. Great system for ordering food from the table simple and quick. Would definitely recommend.
We first decided to visit this restaurant because we had seen online that it was dog friendly. So, while we were camping nearby, we had a wonderful evening at The Dolphin. The drinks were reasonably priced, the bar staff were very attentive, the atmosphere was lovely, and our dog was warmly welcomed. We ordered some food and, despite the kitchen being busy, when our meals arrived they were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this pub - the staff made us feel very welcome and we will certainly return in the future!

This restaurant is a gem! It's one of the few remaining local establishments in the area. I stopped by during a visit to Shrewsbury on quiz night and was impressed by the excellent Cuban cuisine, great beer selection, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere with a log fire, and dog-friendly policy. There is also an outside deck for smokers. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a real treasure. Just a heads up, they only serve food from Thursday to Saturday.
The Cuban sandwiches at this restaurant are excellent, bursting with flavor and reasonably priced. The menu also offers a good variety of options. The only downside is the location, as some tables are wobbly and the decor is outdated. However, I don't think it's fair to let these issues affect the rating of the establishment, as I believe the pub is a separate entity.
Absolutely amazing food. Amazing service. The chicken melts in your mouth. The chips are unreal. I love this place please get yourselves there the beer is amazing too. Sooooo good! Five stars from Libby !
Coby runs a decent boozer. Great beer, great food and a real old school friendly atmosphere. Can recommend without any hesitation.

Lovely pub. Great selection of beers, sandwiches were great. Missing some of those tasty items from the old menu though.
