I paid $9.75 for five small pieces of curry chicken, but when I got home, I found all the gravy had leaked into the bag. The food wasn’t hot when I received it. While it tasted good, it certainly didn’t justify the price; I had plenty of roti left because of the lost gravy. Additionally, the black cake I ordered was dry and lacked flavor. Overall, I ended up spending $25 for a very disappointing meal. I recommend that the restaurant invest in better takeout containers and hire more staff during peak hours, as it was clear that the employees were overwhelmed and confused. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.
The is the most service I?ve ever received at a Jamaican establishment. It?s not embellished, it?s just good. And the food is even better. We started with the red pea soup and the chicken soup, both were astounding! I knew we were in for a treat whenboth soups were delicious. I had the curry shrimp with rice and peas and my partner had the curry chicken with groundprovisions. We were full after 3 bites. It was all so savory and the right amount of spice. We will return!
The process of placing your order by phone with the expectation of picking up your meal promptly upon arrival could use some improvement. However, the service was fantastic! A big shoutout to Michelle for being an excellent host—she is truly dedicated and considerate. The food was delicious, although the prices have increased. Overall, this is the best Jamaican restaurant in NYC. Thanks, Chris Joan!
The ambiance is absolutely fantastic! I visited this place twice during a long weekend in NYC. While the drinks are quite expensive, the food is phenomenal! The servers were really attentive, and I enjoyed chatting with the person who brought around the cornbread, even though I didn't have any. It's an amazing spot that's definitely worth a visit! This place is amazing! Definitely a hidden gem. The decor has a modern yet traditional feel. The staff are attentive, pleasant and proactive. The food is ?TO DIE FOR!? So delicious, fresh, beautifully presented did I say delicious! The best West Indianfood in NYC. When in Queens, NYC seeking a restaurant with West Indian flare, GO HERE!
We were seated promptly, and it’s worth noting that reservations are only available on the hour. Our waiter, Romone, was fantastic and attentive. The food was delightful, and they even surprised me with a cake and a song for my birthday. I will definitely be returning!
Caribbean cuisine is available for both takeout and dining in. The restaurant seems to be a victim of its own popularity, with a bustling takeout scene and somewhat hurried service. However, the food is excellent once you manage to settle in.

The streamed snapper is consistently good but the take out side takes a very long time. I called in 2 dinner orders at 7pm and was there by 830 and so had to wait. I think they lowkey lost my order.
