Stopped in while travelling on business from Fort Qu'Appelle back to hotel in Regina and wanted to try a restaurant outside of Regina. Plugged Pilot Butte into trip advisor and Dosu Wok came in as #1 restaurant in town. Town was much bigger than I anticipated, but Dosu Wok was very easy to find. Walked in and was promptly greeted in a very friendly manner. Menu was received and drink order taken. Received drink quickly in a nice solid glass (not a plastic cup and not bottle or can). Menu is a bit limited for people eating alone but the dinner for one gives many options for the protein. I ordered it with shrimp. There was no veggie in the combo unfortunately. The menu didn't indicate it came...
This is a little town restaurant you don't for glam and fancy, but good quality food. Order off the menu and try some of the more authentic dishes i.e. hot pot, squid, etc.. This is far none the best hot and sour soup one can get!! It is top notch and in my travels I have had a lot. Delish food worth leaving the comfort of Regina restaurants and venturing out. By far best Chinese Food in Regina and surrounding area. Doesn't disappoint!! Excellent Service by Doug and Susan (DOSU) ....always friendly make you feel important.
I ordered from the menu during lunchtime. The food was fresh and flavorful. It's really difficult to find quality food like this in a small town. Even in a larger city like Regina, it's rare to find good Chinese food. The restaurant is family-operated and has a fun atmosphere. The decor is a bit outdated, but the trade-off is the delicious food.
I have been eating at the Dosu Wok now for a lot of years, you get a lot of food for a good price. I recommend the hot plates, any of the chow main and the wings are very good. The food is great but the people are even better. Also a good place to stop in and grab a beer and spin some VLTs !
We pick up food from Dosu approximately once a month and the service is always friendly. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. The spring rolls can be a bit oily on occasion, but that is our only complaint.
Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean but the buffet was terrible. Couldn't cut the ginger beef or chew it, rice had hard chunks, and this was right when the buffet was served. Won't be stopping here again.
I was not impressed with the restaurant. My wife and kids refused to eat the food, and although I managed to eat some of it, I was disappointed with the taste and quality. The only good thing was the egg rolls.
A local restaurant with good service and good food. They Also have off sale for local persons so they don't have to travel to the city.
Great food. Great staff. Good hometown restaurant. Always willing to please. I recomend the weekend buffet.
