The wife treated me to a day off from cooking the family roast, we have two go to’s for fabulous roasts but she chose to look for somewhere new and read some reviews and chose The Dove. We turned up the girl behind the bar asked if we had a reservation and we said yes, she then just pointed to a table and said that’s yours over in the corner!!! Don’t think I’ve ever had that happen in my life! Who does that. Usually you get shown to your table with menus ! Anyway we sat down and the table was so sticky. This was our first time at The Dove. We booked Sunday lunch for 3:15 and were concerned if everything on the menu would be available. We needn’t have worried. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to our table. We ordered starters and mains all available). Starter was delicious. Main courses were piping hot. I had the lamb and family had the beef and it was absolutely delicious and extremely well prepared and presented. Portion size was certainly adequate but as it was all going so well, we felt we should try dessert. Again, very tasty and high quality. We will definitely be going back.
A very pleasant pub/restaurant with an excellent menu and wine list. Popular with locals and visitors alike. Will's culinary skills are amazing, with standards that one would expect in a top restaurant, and we have not found a worthwhile competitor in this area. Front-of-house standards are equally good with Sophie's attention to detail and her excellent rapport with customers. A busy evening before Christmas which had clearly been well planned with excellent staff providing an unhurried dining experience under Sophie's supportive role. We will be back!
Absolutely lovely pub in the middle of gorgeous countryside near Canterbury. Small, but homely. Excellent set lunch menu £33.50 even on Saturdays. Our food was copious and delicious, the staff kind and helpful. Not sure about their choice of wines by the glass, but otherwise a great time was had by all. Recommended.

This is our go to place when we have friends visiting or when we fancy a great eating experience. We’ve never had a disappointing meal here. The friendly atmosphere, with a touch of understated class is second to none. The menu changes every 6 weeks so it’s easy to be a repeat customer. 100% recommend The Dove.
Awesome food!!! We’re never disappointed when we come here. The atmosphere, service and welcome is by far the best for miles around and a must visit for anyone who Enjoys there food because the Chef Will is fantastic! We cycle here and it’s down a country lane with beautiful garden and seating, so picturesque
Wonderful Sunday lunch. The beef was spot on. We had a lovely warm greeting when we arrived and the young ladies who served us were superb in every way. Highly recommended and we will be back again and again.
Excellent food and service. I had the sweeet potato and sweet corn chowder with home made gluten free bread which was the best bread I've had, the lamb and lastly local cheese. All fantastic.

This was the 2nd time in November we had lunch here. All I can say this was the best Sunday lunch roast we had both times for a long time. Looking forward to our next visit.
