We attended a work function for RAB Engineering tonight, and upon arrival found the set menu was a choice between turkey or beef. We are vegan. We asked the (fantastic) waiter if we could have the main meal minus the meat, not being the types to make a fuss we would have been happy with some veggies/salad. To our absolute delight, the chef prepared something especially for us, completely seperate from the set menu and entirely delicious. I'm feeling very grateful to have not been treated like an inconvenience and left feeling completely satisfied and honestly a little choked up at the absolutely wonderful experience we were given tonight. Food was quite average here. I had the Three Little Pigs burger with chips and lime aioli. This set me back $20. The burger was described as pork and fennel seed pattie with crispy prosciutto, smoke-house, bacon, onion jam, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo on a toasted brioche bun. Sounds mouth watering, but was a let-down. The burger was dry and lacked flavour, there was barely any onion jam or chipolte mayo and the bun was average. Halfway through eating my burger, I found that the bottom of the bun was dripping with grease (despite the burger being so dry). The chips and lime aioli however were really nice.
Been sitting here for an hour waiting for lunch which was pre ordered. What tha!! If u can't get enough staff to accommodate lunch time patrons and serve up in the traditional lunch hour .... don't bother. It's now 1.25 pm still no food n I have to be back at work in 5. Have now asked for takeaway container in the hope my order will get here in time for me to transfer my lunch n eat on the run back to work. I don't think that tactic is going to work either ..... Maybe getting my money back half an hour ago would have been the best tactic.... Still hungry
Unfortunately I think I just ordered the wrong meal this time. I went for the pulled pork burger. on the positive side the fries were salty and crispy and everything you want. On the negative side - there was not much pork in my burger. What there was didn't have a huge amount of taste. The ratio of bread to filling was off - lots of bread not much filling. Buffet breakfast is the best I’ve ever had. Well done kitchen staff, I loved the food.The staff are extremely efficient and attentive and friendly. Will not stay anywhere else from here on in Adelaide. Michael at brekky was particularly good and helpful with service. Thank you all so much for looking after me.
Stunning hotel, friendly attentive staff lovely room. Parking is easy hotel is a short walk to the casino, Festival Theatre etc. The buffet breakfast was absolutely incredible. We would highly recommend will be back.
Spent some of Australia Day here. Loved the Australia Day food menu and the prices are very reasonable. Staff were happy and friendly, we had a great time.
