Dinner for four Thursday night, the place was hoping! Fortunately we had a reservation and were seated promptly. The staff was very friendly and the food was served in the appropriate amount of time after arriving. We all ordered different dishes and each came to the table beautifully presented and so delicious, we were all very impressed. Our guest from out of town ate there 3 night in a row and his riding group he was with all came and said everything was so good. They all came from Vancouver, so they know good dinning, we were delighted to share this gem with them in our wonderful little town.
Having worked as a Mediterranean Chef and owned my own restaurant in the past, it is always challenging for me to find a restaurant that meets my high standards. However, The Med has exceeded my expectations. For a small town eatery, I believe it is hard to find something better. The menu is authentic and well-prepared, although it could use some more excitement given its Mediterranean theme. The food was delicious, with the crab cakes being a standout dish. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance as this restaurant has gained popularity, and walk-ins may be turned away.
We were a table of two. The food was excellent. Great variety and wonderful flavour. The service was a little disappointing. A larger group arrived just after us and perhaps ordered quickly which filled the kitchen. Nonetheless, our wine was slow and sat on the bar counter until the bar tender overheard our discussion of whether we should just pick up the glass and she served it. We waited close to an hour for our main. They may be short staffed, but our server was not shy about promoting his excellent skills. Perhaps he's not as great as he thinks...
I never been to a restaurant like this, this place is amazing. We forgot to make a reservation because we weren’t sure if we had to but next time we will, this place fills up quickly. the waitress still seated us and mentioned she needed the table by 6 something which was okay because we were charging our car. The food was amazing, service was prompt. Atmosphere was relax and personal. I’d recommend to anyone wanting a special night with your significant other or a night out with you friends. We had a fantastic dinner last night. We have attempted to walk in and get a table many times. However, each time the restaurant has been full! This is a good sign for a restaurant. Last night was the reopening of Monday night dinners. Finally! We made a reservation as we should have been doing all along. We were seated in a nice quiet corner and had an absolutely INCREDIBLE dinner. We enjoyed the service, the atmosphere, the great music, the wine, and the dinner was cooked to perfection.
I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and felt compelled to write this review. The staff always treats us like family, the food is consistently delicious, and the wine list is impressive. Recently, they have welcomed a new chef who has put a fresh spin on the classic Mediterranean menu. I cannot express how impressed I am with the changes she has made to the dishes. Don't miss the opportunity to dine here, whether it's for a special occasion or just a night out.
The selection of dishes and quality of food was excellent. The wine list was also well done. I had the duck and we paired it with a lovely Carmenere for the table. Great spot for a celebratory dinner. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality.
