Having not visited for some time after a rather disappointing meal a few years ago, we decided to visit following some great, recent reviews. The decor has been updated and is now a calm, airy venue with well spaced seating. The manager, Carl was incredibly friendly and helpful. But, most importantly the food was fantastic. I'm annoyed that none of our group took photo's now! We had a couple of the small bite plates as shared starters Scampi, Houlloumi, Crispy Cauliflower Tato Tots all were delicious (and the selection made it really hard to choose just 4 . Called in with Friends on a Monday lunch time on the way back from Devon, not far off the a46 but in a nice rural location next to the river. A lovely outside area with plenty of tables . Although quiet it was a Monday lunchtime) it had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Service was spot on and the food I had the belly pork) was really well presented and very tasty. If your passing by, or looking for somewhere to eat out its well worth a visit!
An absolutely delightful village pub that offers a great range of starters and mains. I opted for the chicken and mushroom pie which was wonderful, as well as the pork belly bites and sticky Korean chicken for starters. Service from Tiggy and Carl was impeccable and I will be sure to return soon! Cannot recommend this place enough.
Popped in for Monday night dinner. Staff were very friendly and food very tasty. We had the steak and Cajun chicken salad. Lovely setting by the river with a large garden that has the evening sun, would definitely recommend.

I hadn't been to this restaurant since Julia and Bern left, but what a fantastic meal my wife, daughter, granddaughter, and I enjoyed! Highly recommended, we will definitely be returning. 10 out of 10, 100% satisfaction.

Beautiful place, it's a shame we got there too late for food. Food serving times on the website would be useful!
