I don’t think I have ever left a review like this, but I don’t want other people to be fooled like I was. I’m really not sure where all these 5 star reviews are coming from. We went for a quick dinner after a comedy show and it was by far the worst food I have eaten out in a long time. Everything was old. The salsa was so fermented it bubbled in my mouth. The beans were old and mushy, the queso was gritty and super thin with no flavor, the rice was mush and no coconut flavor and the plantains where made from frozen and slimy. The chips we were given were super stale. Thankfully we were offered a fresh bag and they were much better. For a place open until 1am on Friday I would think the food...
I visited for the first time and had the pleasure of meeting the owner! He was incredibly friendly and guided me through the menu. I decided to try the Yardbird bowl, and it was fantastic — I think I could seriously eat a pound of the coconut rice! Plus, the portion sizes are generous. Everything was delicious, and I highly recommend dining here!
The food here is some of my favorite that exists. It’s so amazingly delicious you shouldn’t question going here, just go. Think the best and brightest of the uber-flavorful indigenous Caribbean paired with health conscious bowel-food friendly FL and that’s exactly what you get here. Go. The staff is so kind and give great recommendations if you are unsure what to get. I had the Sweet Heat Havana signature bowl. Added the extra hot sauce on the side cuz I love the hot sauce here. My boyfriend and I have often walked by this restaurant and finally decided to give it a try. The food is fantastic! We ordered the veggie bowls, and they were bursting with flavor. The coconut rice is the best I've ever tasted in my life. I highly recommend it—10 out of 10!
Good food, great people! Gypsy (the manager) went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. Everything was so well seasoned and made fresh in house, including their incredible hot sauce could literally drink that stuff! Will definitely be back.
Delicious! I had the fresh mex bowl. Everything was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The bowl was two full servings in my case (sure half there and saved the other half for later). The flavors are authentic and the staff was friendly. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food was excellent, and overall it was a really good experience. However, the service could use some improvement. The woman managing the restaurant might want to consider her words more carefully when speaking to customers.
