I went for Sunday Roast lunch with my wife and parents. We came upon a friend's recommendation and we were not let down! The staff was friendly, seating us at our table and taking our drink orders. We all enjoyed starters and main courses. My dad and I had the delicious soup, my wife had garlic mushrooms, and my mom had the prawn cocktail; all dishes were extremely tasty! The main courses were served with a generous amount of fresh vegetables and everything was piping hot. Although I struggled to finish, I managed to do so! The entire experience was excellent and I highly recommend it. Parking: Available behind the pub.
We had another fantastic lunch with a delicious bottle of red wine. We typically choose a variety of starter plates which create our own British version of tapas. The food is superb and freshly cooked every time, offering great value for the price. We're grateful to have discovered this local pub near our home and now visit weekly for lunch. The garlic bread with cheese is especially delicious. Highly recommended for those in the Gornal area. Price range is between £10-£20 per person.
great home cooked food. the steak ale pie is mouth water, clobige pieces of steak and they can really taste the ale. with a real bake, not only a puff that rests above. excellent selection of real ales that are regularly changed. and the waitress who served us (blondish hair) was excellent and attentive. destined to visit and book a taxi
very friendly staff. large, fresh house cooked meals in the restaurant, really delicious my local and now my solid favorite for eating. we went in the week, but can not wait to taste the Sunday lunch menu. well done to all employees. get a table and try it yourself! nice ales and bar eat too!
