The Fountain Inn - Tisch resevieren

This canal-side one bar pub is obviously a true gem in the local community, judging by the mix of customers that were there when we arrived. My pal and I came for the beer and the very nice barmaid convinced us to stay for lunch. We both chose the Roast Lamb Dinner. Although the Lamb was Steam-Roasted, it was delicious, and very tender; plus there was plenty of it; along with generous portions of Cabbage, Carrots, Peas, Roast Potatoes and Buttery Mashed Potatoes, a Yorkshire Pudding, a separate boat of Gravy plus Mint Sauce as well, it was all very fresh and well cooked and excellent value at £4.99. There is a good range of real ales that we regretted not staying longer to try more of.

I'm from South London... I'm not supposed to know about canals and pubs in the West Midlands... My wife is from Great Bridge just down the road.... she left the area years ago and hasn't got a clue about where she grew up... Well, I love London, but I've also learned to love an area that's pulled it's heritage back from the brink and done something.... Enough said... This pub is by a regenerated canal.... and after a walk along the banks it was a welcome sight for a pint and a sandwich.... and a pretty good pint and a sandwich, with a smile, was provided.... even in these pandemic times. Good on you Fountain Inn.....I'll be back... ;

What a disappointment we have used the Fountain for years and generally been very satisfied. Today three different ales tried and all frankly undrinkable. The food is OK and very reasonably priced and the staff are excellent but the beer! Suffice it to say we will not be returning any time soon.

I visit this restaurant every Sunday for lunch and have been to many pubs, but none compare to The Fountain. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and I couldn't ask for anything better. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Fantastic pub with great beers, great food and really pleasant bar staff. Managed excellently during the pandemic and very impressed overall with the atmosphere of the pub.

I visited this restaurant for the first time last night and found it to have a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The bar staff were wonderful and extremely friendly.

This pub in Tipton stands out as the top choice by far. It may have seen a decline in the past, but thanks to the new management, it has regained its former brilliance.

Up to see a show at Dudley Town Hall. Fantastic pub, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere. Will gladly just do a day trip just to drink Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
