If I could give 0stars I would. Immediately entered and came to the bar as one of my friends went to find the loo. Within seconds of entering, I was confronted to ask what we wanted and informed them she has just gone to the loo then we are ordering to then have a response of well normally customers come to me and ask what they want not try look for it in a very stern and patronising manor. Instantly was looking up and down and asked where I was from. After buying a round of drinks and going for a smoke it was as though we was on constant surveillance for no reason. Terrible atmosphere when was paying customers with giving them nothing but respect. Had that drink and left. Will not be giving...
Lovely little pub made special by a very friendly landlady and high quality value food and beer. Visited for lunch with a friend after reading other reviews and it did not disappoint. I had a fish finger sandwich which was fresh and tasty and my friend had a haddock risotto and was positively surprised by the amount of haddock. Good choice of different beers and lagers. Loved the whole place which was full of locals popping in for a pint with their dogs. Everyone was friendly.
Lovely friendly country pub, this is my brother and sister in laws local, 1st time we've been here and really enjoyed our drinks in this lovely cozy pub, also very nice owners and staff, can't wait to go in the summer
What a great village pub! Lovely landlady, pleasant people using it and excellent beers. Pity I live about 75 miles away too far to walk! Definitely recommended.

The best pub lunch ive had in months. def recommend the belly of pork..and all of my 3 friends had the pie...clean plates all round...delicious
