today for lunch with my son, he had a busy day when I had a day off. very warm welcome from the personal. we took on the table and were nice and clean. well ordered. all fresh hit and good quality. fish and chips for me and burger and chips for my son. had a great time. Eating was hot and radt, drinks were cold and served fast and the staff was so friendly. amazing service all around. I'll be back soon! thanks to all employees for a perfect lunch.
after the online booking we drove from essex to take an older related who lives close to lunch. there was an incident on the m25 that caused the trip two hours. at the arrival in the pub told us a sign at the door the kitchen was closed! this pub served excellent food and gives good value for money. the problem is our online booking has been accepted by text, but we have no notification the kitchen has been closed!
The George is now under new ownership since my last visit some years prior, I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service , could not fault the food or Tina our waitress who offered us table service instead of ordering at the bar , will definitively go again and can recommend the much improved George pub which is now part of the sizzling pub chain .
We were staying in the hotel next door so we came for dinner then ended up staying for the 80's DJ, we had such a great night and the bar staff made us feel really welcome. Went here for a Sunday carvery....decided to get the family together....and could not fault it. Was the nicest carvery I have honestly had. The roast had every vegetable you could think of and the meat was beautiful! I was so impressed. Was recommended by Bee xxxxx
last Sunday, we fought with nasty and we just loved the carousel. we are going to the local toby that is not bad at all, but that was really nice and the team are excellent. highly recommended
Amazing food. Had a steak and chicken combo, it was the best I've had in a long time, cooked fresh, came out sizzling. Great service. Will definitely be back.
