If you’re in search of a lively atmosphere complete with uplifting music or simply a laid-back lunch, this place offers both. We arrived and requested a quiet table, which was accommodated, allowing us to enjoy our meal in peace. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the warm, inviting decor set the perfect backdrop. Our food and drinks were served promptly. While the menu features classic pub fare, everything was truly delicious. Sometimes, simple dishes done well are the best choice. However, I would encourage the chef to be a bit more adventurous and experiment with new flavors—I have no doubt it would be fantastic!
Noticing my disappointment, my guests kindly offered me bites of their dishes. The sea bream came as a generous fillet paired with a delicately flavored cream sauce, and the burger was meaty and juicy, making it clear that the pizza was the only letdown of the meal. As the waitress cleared the table, she offered to box up my leftover pizza for takeout. When I declined and shared my experience with her, she quickly went to speak with the manager. Without any hesitation, the manager removed the cost of the pizza from my bill—excellent customer service! Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
This restaurant is impressively spacious and well-decorated, offering a variety of seating areas for dining and drinks. The food is fantastic, with generous portions and delightful flavors. The pizzas feature a light crust and unique toppings, while the lamb burger is exceptional. The staff is attentive and provided excellent care for our 18-month-old nephew. It's clear that significant investment has been made in this establishment, and it has been done thoughtfully. A truly top-notch experience!

What a place to stay, the staff were amazing and had such a welcome and couldn’t do enough for you. Ola the manager was so helpful and a great front of house host. Rooms were immaculate and well presented with no expense spared. Absolutely chuffed with my stay and would highly recommend the George Inn. Also food was superb
I visited this pub on Friday, November 3rd, and was left extremely disappointed. One member of our group was refused service because he is Polish. The manager checked his ID and confirmed that he would not be served, and unfortunately, neither would the rest of us. Rating: Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.
Positives, generous portions, good tasting dishes.Internal decor lovely, plenty of parking. Children's portions very generous too. Negatives, bit pricey, didn't feel particularly welcomed on initial arrival, slow service between course having to ask for drinks, desert menu never offered.
