The Good Companions

For the first time for lunch and what a great surprise this old pub is. Very friendly staff. Big aperol splash!! Had lunch with friends. Vegan over Burger and Chickenburger. Fries are freshly hot with a kick. The burgers were perfectly cooked and we are juicy. My friend said the vegan burger was one of the best she ever had. Good and normal prices. You have a room upstairs that I didn't see, but good to know. Outside rear and front. Will be back.

This restaurant is a fantastic place to dine al fresco. The outdoor tables come equipped with heating, making it comfortable even in cooler weather. The food was tasty and straightforward, yet incredibly delicious. The staff members were attentive and amiable. The atmosphere is a bit more serene compared to the bustling town, making it easy to have conversations without disturbances. Overall, a highly recommended dining experience.

A lovely looking pub from the outside. Inside there is a central bar area with seating all around. Only tried the Staropramen on offer because it was a sweltering hot day. There is a beautiful beer garden to the outside with wooden bench seating. All the staff where very helpful and lovely too. It was table service because of Covid regulations. Had a great time, check out if you are in the area

Great atmosphere. Really nice outdoor areas with heaters. Staff are really welcoming and happy to be there. Even the member of door staff (older gent, was there on a Friday) is really entertaining and welcoming to every single person that walked through the door. Really nice place, wish I explored more as the garden looked beautiful. Lots of corners for people who like to sit out the way. £16 for a fish and chips and a redbull. Perfect price for the amazing quality food you receive. The lady was very welcoming and friendly. Would 100% go again if I lived closer.

Characterful pub with two beautiful gardens in the front and back. There are voluminous awnings for the rain but the heaters were disappointingly weak. The loos could do with a bit of modernisation. Prices were alright for Brighton without being cheap. Selection was good.

The Good Companions Pub offers a fantastic menu. Sunday roasts deserve a special mention. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The beer garden is very well designed and can hold large groups.
