Beautiful pub, great service with exceptionally friendly staff. Went for a Sunday lunch, 3 of us had roast unfortunately the food was luke warm, I think it had been sitting on the pass, plated up and waiting. The non roast eaters had hot food, so theirs seems to have been made fresh. Two of the puddings were cold, we sent those back which they provided new ones and removed them from the bill. Overall was disappoining as the food is the most important part of a pub experience. I would go back if I was with friends who wanted to eat there, but wouldn't go back on my own accord. Came here with a big group for a Sunday roast and was SO impressed! Our waitress was so friendly, helpful and the service was very quick. Food was really tasty with big portions, genuinely one of the best roasts i’ve had! Can’t wait to come back : Dietary restrictions: Fiancé is dairy free and they made it really easy for him to order, clearly stating what he can order and making a slightly altered version of a Sunday roast for him. Incredible food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere! I took my father here to celebrate his 85th birthday, and he couldn't stop talking about his lamb shank. My hake was absolutely delicious! I recently dined at the Beehive in White Waltham, which was nice, but this place is truly exceptional. I will definitely be returning. Price per person: £30–40. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Highly recommended dishes: Scallops and Fish.
