Experience at this place was just weird. We only went here once about 6 years ago and have not been inspired to visit again since. The staff seemed nice, but off somehow. I can 't quite put my finger on it. Like it was everyone 's first day and they were a little confused or something. The food wasn 't bad, it just wasn 't good. Plenty of people really enjoy the staples like meatloaf and potatoes with a dash of pepper and some salt. This is a place for that sort of thing, a filling and predictable meal. My fiancé and I just ate here for the first time. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! We ordered the steak tips medium rare, and they were perfect! We ordered them to share as we had ordered some apps to share too, and the staff split it on to two plates without us asking, complete with ourbown steak knives! The crab cake was perfect, the piccata calamari so buttery and flavorful, and the stuffed mushrooms so cheesey. The waitress cracked fresh peppercorns on our salad. We just had a fantastic experience with Harvest Grille. We hosted a collation luncheon meal following a celebration of life service for my mother-in-law. It could not possibly have worked out better. Susan was a joy to work with remotely by phone (as we are located in New Jersey). The food and service were all great, and the atmosphere was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The food and service were outstanding! We went for the first time a few weeks ago and loved the vibe overall experience. We went again tonight with our neighbors and it was even better the second time! Kendra, our server was very attentive, friendly helpful. Iv seen a lot of restaurants come and go from this location but all I can say is the rest of the restaurants in Holden better watch out! If you love a good steak or a nice home cooked meal this place will put any restaurant under the table throughout Holden and beyond! The third time I'm here and all three visits have been excellent. The food is consistently very good. I have had the scallop dish and fish tacos both seasoned well. The Caesar salad is fresh you can tell the chef must make it versus from a bottle. The service was a little slow but the place had a bunch of people come in at the same time which might have been the reason. A hidden gem in Holden.
