Yesterday, I stopped by for lunch, and it was quite busy! We were seated right away. We ordered the fish and chips and a steak burger, both of which were huge and arrived within 20 minutes, even with the restaurant being so crowded! As always, the food was excellent. The service was very good; the waitress checked in on us to see if everything was satisfactory and later brought us the dessert menu after our main dishes. This is a lovely pub with outstanding food. We’ll definitely be back soon. This was our fifth visit, and each time we’ve tried something different from the menu—everything from steak to lamb to beef for Sunday dinner—and it has always been delightful. This is a lovely pub with a pleasant atmosphere. It was fairly quiet during our visit at 4 PM on a Monday. The staff were friendly, helpful, and quick with the service. The decor is charming, and everything was very clean. We ordered fish and chips as well as a chicken burger with chips. The fish portion was a bit on the small side, but overall, the meals were enjoyable. The pâté starter was decent, but once again, the portion could have been larger. Price per person: £10–20. The pub is always so warm and welcoming at any time if the year but yesterday the fires were roaring so even more so. Always a warm welcome from the friendly attentative staff and thank you for welcoming our 13 week old pup and fussing her. Great food, great beers on draft, my go-to pub. Keep up the good work guys. If you want to eat here, book early to avoid disappointment, tables for meals get snapped up quick especially towards weekend. I stopped by for a drink but couldn't order food since the place was fully booked. However, I did catch a glimpse of a Sunday roast that passed by, and it looked delicious! The pub itself is lovely, set in a spacious environment. Next time, I'll make a reservation and enjoy a Sunday roast.
