O.M.G I lurve the fish and chips from here. I have them all the time. The fish is alwasy freshly cooked for you, not like others that have them standing there going soggy. I particularly don't like lots of batter on mine and they do my fish especially to my liking. You get loads of chips too. My favourite is fish butty, massive t-cakes, with chips and gravy, yum yum. I would recommend this place to anybody who loves proper fish and chips done the traditional Yorkshire way, ie no skin on fish and cooked in dripping. Ooooh I want some more now I've written this review! Oh and if you want a laugh the mother and son duo serving on are a good double act when you get them working together.
called in for fish and chips but got so much more!!! the staff are so friendly and welcome you straight away. I was asked how I would like my fish cooked as each fish is fried fresh to order the chips were fresh out too. oh what a delight. a proper real fish and chip shop with old fashioned values. I've been loads since and I cannot praise them highly enough. give them a try,,, you won't be disappointed.
My neighborhood fish and chip shop offers huge portions with perfectly crispy batter on the fish and good chips. The only downside for me was the lack of original curry sauce, but that's just a personal preference. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable for the generous portions. Overall, it was a positive dining experience.

I went the hippy haddock for first time. ooohhh yum the fish is freshly cook!! Well done hippy haddock we will definitely again!!!
Very friendly on every visit, great portions, but the mushy peas are excellent, stewed overnight they are delicious!
