The Hodle Tavern - Tisch resevieren

We stopped by one evening after walking our dog along the rail trail (yes, you can bring your dog, but you have to sit outside). When I went in to place our order, the bartender informed me that he was the only one working that night. We ordered a chicken sandwich for me and a Reuben for Dani. I went back inside to grab another beer, and thankfully, the bartender brought us our food. My chicken sandwich was okay, but the salad looked a bit old. Dani's Reuben, unfortunately, was quite disappointing—the meat was slimy and had an unappetizing purple color, indicative of being past its prime. Nice little hole in the wall. Good bartenders, (Kyle is great and quick to set you up with a cold beer), good bar food. All reasonably priced. Atmosphere is nice, non smoking (inside) which is great if you like to go out for the evening and not come home smelling like an ash tray! Sometimes you can catch live music here as well.

The honey sriracha wings are absolutely amazing! You have to go here and try them if you're a wing connoisseur. The bartenders are top-notch too. It's a cozy tavern that I love!

I visited in the late afternoon, and it was quite pleasant and not too crowded. However, from what I've heard, it gets extremely busy in the evening.

Take your dog! Hole-in-the-wall antique bar from the Rail Trail, but I love that I can sit on the terrace with my dog!
