The Horse And Groom

Took my mum here for lunch today. Was a bit disappointed. Ordered the chicken and bacon melt. I was happy that he took off all the fat for the bacon for me. However. The chips were underdone and the chicken was very dry. I didn't Finnish the chicken or the chips. The chicken. I managed to eat with the bacon was okay. But as soon as the bacon ran out I couldn't eat anymore. I do think that £5 odd for 6 hallomi fries is a bit much? I did enjoy them however. I paid £35 for two meals. No including the drinks. The drink were fine. But I don't think I'd be eating there again : slightly disappointed as everyone was raving about this place

Wow!! After a day of rain This place certainly done the trick The food was absolutely delicious! Couldn 't fault it ! and the puddings were splendid!! I would definitely recommend to go here the staff were very welcoming for a local pub, we aren 't from around here and we have been to a few local pubs elsewhere and have found them very clicky, the horse groom wasn 't one bit clicky they made us feel very welcome indeed!! A lovely place to visit ,don 't drive past pop in and see for yourself !!!

Had a very nice pub meal on a Sunday afternoon! Very reasonable and the food was yummy, good selections of steaks, burgers, lasagne ect. Fast service and friendly staff

A real local with all that that entails. Amazing owners and staff. Very impressed. Own ale brewed just for them, too: Bitttabeer.
